About

An established influence on editorial fashion and well known as “the stylists’ stylist”, Nicole Bonython-Hines joined Vogue straight out of university and began her career when “the only person on earth who employed a stylist was Madonna”. Credited with taking Kylie Minogue from to soap star to pop star, her work with Toni Collette, INXS, Naomi Campbell and Naomi Watts made her known for red carpet statements and the strategic, some would say pivotal, styling of contemporary celebrity. Her dual experience in entertainment and fashion editorial also honed an imposing sense of chic. Key signatures of her work are “Minimalism and classicism”. Her editorials are known for witty narratives and strong lines.

“I am known for my stories and whatever I do has a certain polish to it, I like beautiful sophisticated things.”

Rich in experience her work gravitates to fashion driven projects with diverse ambitious briefs. Holding such positions as Fashion Director of Australian Elle, Senior Fashion Editor- at- Large at Madison, Fashion Director at CLEO and Fashion Director at Follow Me, Nicole has maintained long standing corporate and editorial relationships. Nicole is trusted to forge an image, build a brand or create an entirely new trend and prides herself on fusing experience with adaptability.  Her vision is never reserved to the clothes rack alone, “it’s the whole vision and the big picture”: the creative outcome of a very well trained eye.
